Pankration was a martial art introduced into the Greek Olympic Games in 648 BC and founded as a blend of boxing and but with almost no rules save disallowing biting and gouging the opponent's eyes out. The term comes from the Greek παγκράτιον (Pankration), literally meaning "all powers" from πᾶν (pan-) "all" + κράτος (kratos) "strength, power". This class is tailored to all level of martial artists. The class is typically 1-2 hours long and involves many of the same techniques that would be used in mixed martial arts classes. Classes involves pad work as well working with partners to practice stand up and ground techniques. Classes focuses not only on preparing for Pankration and MMA competitions, but help students develop functional movement patterns, more speed and explosiveness, functional strength, balance and stability, increased stamina, and reduce the risk of potential injury.
Kickboxing is a mixture of several techniques employed in the rest of the forms of martial arts. Referred to as the “science of 8 limbs” simply because almost all parts of the body are employed during the fight. The forehead, the fists, elbows, knees, and feet are often used as the weapons. It has been around for more than 2000 years and is basically regarded as the oldest variant of martial arts. This class is tailored to beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. The class is typically 1-2 hours long and involves pad work using focus mitts, Thai pads, kick shields and heavy bags. This class is designed to teach students striking combos through our numbering system. A full body workout, this class will get you in shape fast.
Mixed Martial Arts is the fastest growing sport in the world. This involves a mixture of various martial arts such as Kickboxing, Boxing, Judo, Karate, Wrestling, Jiu Jitsu, Sambo and Tae Kwon Do. This class is tailored to beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. The class is typically 1-2 hours long and involves pad work using focus mitts, Thai pads, kick shields and heavy bags. This class is designed to teach students striking combos through our numbering system. Students will often work with partners to practice submission holds and work at a drill pace to sharpen their take down, submission and striking skills.
Strength and Conditioning
Strength and Condition classes combines weightlifting, sprinting, and gymnastics with MMA training movements such as heavy bag training, ground & pound dummy training. says that proficiency is required in each of ten fitness domains: cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, agility, balance, coordination, and accuracy are ten fitness domains in which Sixel's Fight Club's Strength and Condition program emphasizes. It defines fitness as increased work capacity across all these domains and says its program achieves this by provoking neurological and hormonal adaptations across all metabolic pathways. Over time students experience weight loss, increased flexibility, and an overall higher level of fitness.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu emphasizes taking an opponent to the ground and utilizing ground fighting techniques and submission holds involving joint-locks and choke holds also found in numerous other arts with or without ground fighting emphasis. The premise is that most of the advantage of a larger, stronger opponent comes from superior reach and more powerful strikes, both of which are somewhat negated when grappling on the ground.
What is 6L Cross Training?
The 6L Cross Training prescription is performing “functional movements that are constantly varied at high intensity.” 6L Cross Training is a core strength and conditioning program. The 6L Cross Training program is designed to elicit as broad an adaptational response as possible. 6L Cross Training is not a specialized fitness program but a deliberate attempt to optimize physical competence in each of ten recognized fitness domains. They are as follows:

The 6L Cross Training programming is meant to be scaled and suitable for all ages and physical conditions. Anybody that has a body can be an athlete at 6L Cross Training. The philosophy behind Cross training is an all inclusive lifestyle change. Our program is distinctive, if not unique, in its focus on maximizing neuroendocrine response, developing power, cross-training with multiple training modalities, constant training and practice with functional movements, and the development of successful diet strategies.
6L Cross Training is offering the client a chance to expose themselves to the training methods and philosophies that have been adopted by numerous major universities and professional athletic training facilities.

Instructor Dave Sixel;
Dave Sixel started out his Martial Arts and Fitness career in 1971 under the training of Master Joseph Parks, Master Ok Hyung Kim and in 1998 Master John Townsley. David’s current rankings are purple belt Jiu-Jitsu, 4th dan Tae-Kwon-Do, 4th dan Hakido, 4th dan Judo, and 8th dan Pankration. David has received numerous awards and recognitions throughout his career ranging in his capacity as a student, competitor, instructor, coach and referee. David is currently the president of the USA Federation Of Pankration Athlima and Vice President of the World Federation Of Pankration Athlima. Dave is also a certified instructor in Cross Training.
